We’re incredibly excited to be back for another year at CONvergence (June 30-July 3, see their website for more information)! The theme this year is Tomorrow Through The Past, a retro-futuristic theme that is going to make things a lot more fun for us! Steam Century at Marscon Days of Magic March 4-6, 2011

Steam Century is excited to come back for their second year at Marscon! Besides their other steampunk programming offerings (pls see below), Steam Century has brought back their fabulous and fun mystery game! Game starts Saturday, March 5, 2010 at 2:00 pm in Room 310.

It’s the year 1902 in the bustling city of Kaposia, capital of Tekamthi. A young girl has disappeared, and a man has been charged with her kidnapping. Still, young Johanna Wandler is nowhere to be found. Is she still alive? Where is she being held? Has the wrong man been accused? Players are tasked with taking on the role of amateur sleuths to help crack the case and save a girl’s life!

Players will read the daily paper for information, move through sets, gather clues, and interview characters to solve the mystery. Players themselves are welcome to come in costume or in pajamas, as a character or as themselves; anything goes! Steam Century suggests a donation of $5 to fund future events for you to enjoy.

I hope everybody had a safe and happy Thanksgiving! I know I’m so very grateful to all of you who came out and made our November 20th event a huge success!

Steam Century: Kaposia is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a steampunk dinner Saturday, May 15th at 6 PM at the Wilde Roast Cafe in Minneapolis! Come show off your fanciest steampunk clothes and enjoy delicious food, scintillating conversation and witty parlor games in a charming Victorian-inspired setting.

We request that you e-mail us and RSVP by May 8th so that we can get an approximate headcount. Guests will order dinner at the time of the event – no pre-orders needed. When you arrive and order be sure to mention that you are there for the Steam Century dinner.
