Well our first mystery game has come and gone, and what a fun night it was! We had a full house (even more people than we had expected) come together at the lovely Alumni House mansion for a night of steampunk themed mystery and socializing.
In case you missed it:
The plot
All attendees came together to solve a baffling mystery! Ms. Ellenor Catsby has been seeing money being stolen from her shipping company and not a clue as to how or whom, Ms. Catsby’s assistant Neve Owewe Boulain has called people together to see if they can solve this conundrum! Neve and Ms. Catsby brought the company’s babbage engine and pay ledger to help others sniff out the culprit in addition to other puzzling clues that were found that evening. In attendance were also the following;
-Kalmiya Bines, Ms. Catsby’s security guard
-Arthur, Neve’s man servant
-Professor Daniel Devonshire, University of Kaposia Engineering Professor
-Professor Faustine de Sansonnet, University of Kaposia Astronomy Professor
-Persephone “Poppy” Poppendiche, Prof. Sansonnet’s T.A and University socialite
Among tea, cucumber sandwiches, gossiping, clues, and delightful parlor games, the attendees solved the mystery and found the culprit!
Professor Daniel Devonshire was embezzling money from Ms. Ellenore Catsby! Seeing as Ms. Catsby hired Prof. Devonshire to install the babbage engine for her company, he took this chance to sabotage it and funnel money to himself to fund developing his own calculating device. Prof. Devonshire viewed Charles Babbage as a hack and knew he could do much better. Luckily he was found out, and the accused was escorted out by security guard Kalmiya.
